Job Overview

Our client, a well-established professional services firm based in Larnaca, Cyprus is seeking for an Internal Accountant. The organisation specialises in accounting, taxation, and business advisory services, supporting clients through tailored financial solutions that go beyond compliance requirements to create long-term value and business growth. As an Internal Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting operations, monitoring collections, and supporting management with financial reporting. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities within a collaborative and professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain daily accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner

  • Perform account reconciliations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

  • Process receipts, sales invoices, and related accounting documentation

  • Monitor outstanding balances and communicate with clients regarding overdue payments

  • Ensure compliance with company collection procedures, timelines, and policies

  • Prepare and maintain VAT reports and related accounting records

  • Maintain accurate filing systems and accounting documentation

  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities

  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management and Board review

  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position

  • Good command of both Greek and English languages

  • Good working knowledge of accounting software and MS Office applications

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and VAT procedures

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently
