Our client, an innovative research, technology development, and consulting organisation based in Cyprus, is seeking an EU Grants & Proposal Writer. The organisation develops and manages European and international projects in the fields of sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, education, entrepreneurship, and advanced technologies, collaborating with an extensive network of partners across Europe and beyond.

As an EU Grants & Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, supporting the development of innovative project concepts, coordinating with international partners, and preparing competitive grant proposals for European and international funding programmes. You will work closely with researchers, consultants, and project partners throughout the proposal development process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify funding opportunities, grants, tenders, and calls for proposals aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities

  • Monitor EU funding programmes, policies, and emerging priorities related to research, innovation, sustainability, education, and digital transformation

  • Support the development of innovative project ideas and transform concepts into competitive funding proposals

  • Conduct research, literature reviews, needs assessments, and stakeholder analyses to support proposal preparation

  • Prepare and contribute to high-quality grant applications, including technical narratives, work packages, implementation methodologies, impact sections, dissemination plans, and budgets

  • Coordinate proposal preparation activities and ensure submissions are completed accurately and on time

  • Collaborate with universities, research centres, public authorities, NGOs, SMEs, and international partners during proposal development

  • Collect and consolidate technical, administrative, and partner documentation required for proposal submissions

  • Manage proposal submissions through relevant European funding portals and electronic submission systems

  • Participate in networking events, brokerage events, conferences, and meetings with project partners to support the development of future collaborations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, European Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Information Technology, Social Sciences, Education, or another relevant field

  • Previous experience in EU grants, proposal writing, project development, or a similar role

  • Familiarity with European funding programmes such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, LIFE, CERV, COST, PRIMA, IDEK, or similar programmes will be considered an advantage

  • Excellent proposal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)

  • Very good command of the Greek language

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams

  • Experience in project coordination, consortium building, or budget preparation will be considered an advantage

  • A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in research, innovation, and European projects
