Our client, a leading technology company based in Cyprus, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Team Leader, to lead a team of developers. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of developers while actively contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality software solutions. In addition, you will play a critical part in ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining coding standards, mentoring team members, and aligning development efforts with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance and make architectural and design decisions aligned with best practises.
Review code to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team.
Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization for reliability and security of software applications.
Break down requirements into actionable tasks and ensure proper workload distribution within the team.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to ensure timely delivery.
Conduct technical assessment to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Provide input on timelines, priorities, and feasibility.
Ensure smooth, reliable, and error-free releases.
Validate system compatibility and performance.
Support the resolution of complex issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
Promote best practises such as code reviews, documentation, and testing standards.
Contribute to the improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum).
Support knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any other related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Proven experience in leading a development team.
Proficiency in more than one of the following technologies: C#, React, JavaScript, .NET, Oracle, SQL, or other related technologies.
Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
